How I engage. I start by listening, write down what I hear, and give you the reasoning, not just the recommendation. You get documentation as a deliverable, not an afterthought.
What staying power looks like. Several client relationships have passed the eighteen-year mark, carried on trust rather than contract cycles. The systems I build assume someone will maintain them — usually me, years later, so I write for that person.
Why I automate. If I have to do something twice, it gets automated — and monitored, because automation without observability is just a quieter way to fail.
